From May 18 to 25, the 2025 PHWT Summer Camp was launched in Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute(SXPI). The event was co-hosted by SXPI, Xianyang Foreign Affairs Office, Private Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik Vechta/Diepholz, and German Duowin Didactic.

The opening ceremony took place on May 19 at the Jingkai Campus Library, attracting prominent attendees. Du Junxia, Deputy Director of Xianyang Municipal People's Congress, Sha Shi, Vice Chairman of Xianyang CPPCC, University President Liu Yongliang, along with German delegates including School Board Vice Chairman Manuele Piloni, Vice President Marion Lammers, and 50 faculty and students, were present.

During the ceremony, several key points were highlighted. President Liu emphasized a decade of Sino-German vocational collaboration, describing the camp as "a living example of Belt and Road vocational education community." His goal was to promote technical exchange and build cultural bridges. Xianyang People's Friendship Association Deputy Director Wang Min'an connected the event to Xianyang's Silk Road heritage, stressing that youth exchanges are the foundation for Sino-German city partnerships in vocational education and green technology. German representative Piloni commended the university's practical innovation, referring to the camp as "a profound dialogue in vocational education." After that, President Liu presented the camp flag to Vice President Lammers.

Regarding the camp activities, German participants will collaborate with Chinese peers in 3D printing and advanced manufacturing workshops. They will also immerse themselves in traditional Chinese culture through experiences in calligraphy, martial arts, and Hanfu. The activities aim to let them explore China's vocational education innovation, historical depth, and technological vitality.

Overall, this initiative serves as a platform for Sino-German youth to exchange skills and integrate cultures. It also demonstrates our university's dedication to "Chinese-characteristic, world-class" vocational education. In the future, we will continue to deepen international cooperation, striving to cultivate more globally competent talent for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
