On April 27, a faculty member Niar from Hasanuddin University in Indonesia accompanied four undergraduate students to SXPI, starting a two-month Material Forming and Control Technology study program. The next day, an opening ceremony was jointly hosted by the School of International Education and the School of Materials Engineering, attended by deans Qin Jingjun and Li Yun, along with faculty representatives.

At the ceremony, Dean Qin warmly welcomed the Indonesian group, hoping the students would master advanced material-forming technologies through study and practice, and strengthen ties between the universities. Dean Li introduced the curriculum, covering additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and reverse engineering, delivered via an integrated theory-practice teaching model.

Niar expressed gratitude for the well-organized program, noting it as a valuable learning opportunity and anticipating broader future cooperation.

The program features small-class teaching. Backbone faculty from the School of Materials Engineering designed the courses to ensure quality learning. Besides academics, students will experience intangible cultural heritage and study urban development, offering them a holistic view of China's tech-culture integration.
