On May 16, 2025, the 2025 Shaanxi Higher Education International Exchange Conference took place at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. Wang Haibo, Deputy Secretary of Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee's Education Working Committee, addressed the event, which honored 2024's outstanding collectives and individuals in the province's education system's foreign affairs and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan affairs.
Qin Jingjun, Dean of our university's School of International Education, delivered a speech titled "Using Vocational Education Internationalization to Build an Education Power." Guided by the Plan Outline for Building an Education Power (2024-2035), our university leverages Luban Workshops and strategies like "Double-Excellence Drive" and "Bilingual Empowerment" for growth.
Key initiatives include a three-tiered platform system collaborating with 151 institutions across 21 regions, overseas vocational education workshops offering programs in Zambia and other countries, and a "One Country, One Strategy" plan that has exported 16 professional standards and 166 courses.
This presentation spotlighted our university's vocational education global endeavors, offering insights for Shaanxi's universities. The School of International Education will expand cooperation and enhance "going global" vocational education to foster globally-minded talent.
