Mr. Cheol-ju Mun, Head of International Office, Mr. Sung-Tai Kim, Director of China Affairs, Dong-A University, the Republic of Korea, paid a visit to Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute on October 26. Liu Yongliang, the Vice President of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, met the Korea guests in reception room. Personal concerned to international cooperation participated in the meeting and negotiated for cooperation programs.
Mr. Liu Yongliang forwarded his warm welcome to the visiting guests and briefed the already cooperation between the two institutes, especially students exchange as SXPI already sent 25 students toDong-A University for short term and long term study. Then, Mr. Liu presented the guests China 3-Year Action Plan which focus on quality improvement of higher vocational education with serials of measures taken by the government.The following issues also were presented by Mr. Liu to the guests included SXPI profile, international cooperation, school and industry cooperation, especially SXPI’s cooperation with Samsung in Xi’an. He said, SXPI was now on the track of fast developing, International cooperation meets good opportunity, SXPI sincerely hoped to promote the cooperation with Dong-A University, and develop it into a more widen and deep level.
Mr. Cheol-ju Mun expressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Liu Yongliang for the hospitality. He appraised SXPI for its good quality education and internationalization, presented the profile of Dong-A University and the fast growing Korean industries in Xi’an, capital of Shaanxi Province. He said, more and more Korean industries are establishing business in Xi’an after the FTA signed in 2015 by China and South Korea. FTA generates good opportunity for Dong-A University and Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute to develop cooperation as graduates with Korean education background more are welcomed by the Korean industries in Xi’an. He wished to deepen the relationship between the two institutes, and more and better programs be established between the two sides.
Focusing on students exchange, teachers academic visiting and science cooperation, Mr. Cheol-ju Mun had detailed discussion with personal concerned from International office. The Korean guests also paid a visit to the Japan Omron center on SXPI campus, talked with Mr. Gu Jianlin, a represent of Omron company in SXPI, about the cooperation model between SXPI and Omron. The Korean guests had a gathering with some of th estudents who participated in the 2016 Korean Summer program in Dong-Auniversity.
