SXPI Welcomed the Evaluation of SGAVE Cooperation Project

On the afternoon of December 30, 2021, SXPI received the evaluation of intelligent manufacturing project expert group of Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education Cooperation (SGAVE) of the Ministry of Education by video conference. Project evaluation expert, Prof. Gu Jing and other related experts interviewed SXPI about the intelligent manufacturing project. Tian Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SXPI, Mei Chuangshe, Vice President of SXPI, and principals of the Academic Affairs Office, School of Mechanical Engineering and School of International Education attended the project evaluation meeting.

Mr. Mei Chuangshe delivered a speech on behalf of SXPI, and introduced the running situation and international exchanges and cooperation of SXPI. Mr. Mei said that the SGAVE intelligent manufacturing project was of great significance in promoting the internationalization of the specialty group of mechanical manufacturing and automation, promoting the connotation of construction of specialty group, and accelerating the high quality development of SXPI. In the project construction, SXPI would deeply integrate the curriculum construction with the practice-oriented project teaching system in SGAVE project.

Through the construction of curriculum system, the cultivation of "double-qualified" teachers, the construction of assessment and certification system, etc., the integration of industry and education in SXPI would be promoted, the level of school-enterprise cooperation and international exchange would be improved, and high-quality technical and skilled personnel would be cultivated.

Sun Li, the representative of the enterprise and the director of DMG MORI Training Institute, introduced the background and information of SGAVE intelligent manufacturing project. Zhao Mingwei, Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering, introduced the situation of the specialty group of mechanical manufacturing and automation and the application plan of the project.

Subsequently, the project evaluation experts conducted interviews with the leaders of SXPI and the heads of related functional departments about the project plan, teacher certification training, course outlines, and teaching arrangements. Meanwhile, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on issues of common concern.

SGAVE project was a vocational education cooperation project jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education and leading companies in advanced European vocational education model countries such as Germany. The aim of this project was to draw lessons from Germany's "dual system" school-running mode. Through the selection of pilot vocational colleges, China and Germany would jointly develop and implement training programs for technical personnel adapted to China's national conditions.
