SXPI Successfully Held the Graduation Ceremony of Credit Transferring Program of Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia

On the afternoon of March 4th, SXPI held the graduation ceremony of the International Credit Transferring Program of Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia by video conference. Tian Hao, deputy Secretary of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, Susanto, director of the Indonesian Association for Higher Education, and Suwignyo, Dean of Stie Mandala attended the ceremony. Qin Jingjun, dean of school of International Education, presided at the meeting.

From September 2021 to February 2022, with the support of special funds from the Indonesian government, SXPI undertakes the Program of International Credit Transferring of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, and offers 6 professional core courses for undergraduate students majoring in Economics and Management of Stie Mandala. Six bilingual teachers in SXPI gave lectures in English for 168 class hours. The students who participated in the program received a total of 18 credits. This credit is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia and included in the total credits of undergraduate education.

In his speech, Tian Hao, deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, first congratulated the students who participated in the program and thanked The Indonesian Higher Education Association and Stie Mandala for their strong support to the program. He said that the program has enabled Chinese and Indonesian universities to recognize each other's courses and credits, achieving seamless integration of teaching standards and cultivating students' international literacy. At the same time, the program was taught in English, promoted the foreign language teaching ability of SXPI teachers, and improved the international level of the major. He hoped that the two could build on the cooperation of this project and carry out more cooperative training programs in the future so as to cultivate international technical and skilled personnel needed for the economic and social development of China and Indonesia.

Susanto, director of the Indonesian Higher Education Association, said in his speech that the program of International Credit Transferring, which is a key project of the Ministry of Education and Culture, has strong appeal for Indonesian students who want to be prepared for globalization. The effect of the joint training between Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute and Stie Mandala is very ideal. He hopes the two institutes will have more forms of cooperation in the future. He congratulated the Indonesian students who had successfully completed the project and hoped that they could share with their friends what they had learned, especially some wonderful moments of online learning.

Suwignyo, dean of Stie Mandala, said in his speech that the program is a flagship program of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. Through cooperation with SXPI, Stie Mandala has achieved its goal of producing graduates with competitive and cross-cultural academic competence at the national and international levels. He hopes the two institutes will carry out more cooperative projects in scientific research, textbook writing, visiting professors and double-degree programs.

Student representatives Harrisma and Nabila thanked all the teachers for their hard work. They said that during the six-month study, they gained rich knowledge of economics, exchanged culture, enhanced self-management awareness and improved their comprehensive self-restraint. Through thelessons, they are better prepared for the future. They hope that SXPI will continue to build a platform to benefit more Indonesian students.
