SXPI Provided Technical Skills Training for Zambian Staff of Chinese Enterprises in Zambia

In order to actively respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative, cultivate high-quality local technical talents familiar with Chinese culture for Chinese-funded enterprises in Zambia, help "going out" enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency, export Chinese high-quality vocational education resources, and promote Chinese vocational education majors Standards, curriculum system, vocational skills and job training standards for "going out", SXPI recently held technical skills training for local employees of Chinese enterprises in Zambia, according to the specific training needs of Wet-Method Copper Smelting Co., LTD., Chambishi Copper Smelting Co., LTD. (CCS) and China Color Non-Mining Co., LTD.

On May 25th, the technical skills training was held on the online platform of the conference room in Chongwen Building of SXPI. The training was attended by Mr. Zhao Mingwei, dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Zhang Wenting, Vice Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Wang Bin of School of Finance and Tourism and Ms. Yang He of International Education School and other training teachers. The trainees were mainly 52 zambian employees of Chambishi Copper Smelting Co., LTD.

The technical skills training course was a concrete action of SXPI to actively respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative, serve the international production capacity cooperation, and improve the SXPI's international education level. Against the backdrop of the normal epidemic situation, schools and enterprises of the two sides jointly implement the "Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Modern Vocational Education", promote vocational education to go global, and explore specific measures for the international development of "Chinese + Vocational Skills".

The whole training is conducted in English. Technical skills training courses covered a variety of subjects, including Chinese culture as a foreign language, production and operation management and visual management. Through the preliminary in-depth enterprise research, the teachers did a lot of preparation work, In order to successfully complete the training task, and to ensure the practicality and efficiency of the training content as well. Zambian employees were very active in participating and the training results were great.

Mr. Zhao Mingwei hoped that this training course will serve as a starting point to form the regular online and offline staff training mechanism of SXPI in the future, and jointly explore more new ideas of school-enterprise cooperation. Through the implementation of this project, SXPI served the national "Belt and Road" initiative, not only exported our high-quality teaching resources, but also expanded our international influence.
