On May 19, the international exchange symposium of Chinese-Laos colleges and universities was successfully held at the Chang'an campus of Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College. The conference was sponsored by the Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and hosted by the International Exchange and Cooperation College of Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College. SXPI and Shaanxi Transportation Vocational and Technical College, Xi'an Railway Vocational and Technical College, Xi'an Aviation Vocational and Technical College, etc. attended the meeting as representatives of the alliance colleges. Mr. Yu Jin, Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Mr. Lei Bo, Deputy Minister of Cultural Exchange Department of Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Mr. Ma Junde, a third-level researcher, and Mr. Yang Donglun, Chief Representative of Lao Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chongqing) Representative Office, attended the symposium.
Mr. Yu Jin, on behalf of the Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction to the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. He affirmed the international work carried out by various higher vocational colleges, and expressed his understanding of the difficulties that the current international exchange work is hindered by the epidemic. He hoped to use the resources of the Overseas Chinese Federation and overseas universities to continue to promote the sharing of resources between vocational colleges and enterprises.
Mr. Yang Donglun introduced in detail the national environment of Laos, the international exchanges of the chamber of Commerce and Industry and the international exchange work of representative colleges in Laos. He shared the cases of international cooperation between Laotian colleges and enterprises in the fields of machinery, commerce and trade, logistics and other professional fields, and elaborated on the expectation of Laotian students studying in China and the way of cooperation such as mutual recognition of credits.
As the representative of the participating colleges, SXPI elaborated its professional disciplines and the expected cooperation mode, and expressed the cooperation intention in the forms of strengthening the cooperation between Shaanxi province and Laos in vocational education, recruiting Laotian students, holding staff training of Chinese-funded enterprises in Laos, promoting Chinese vocational education courses to go global, etc.
The conference not only deepened the mutual understanding between Shaanxi higher vocational colleges, Lao universities and enterprises, but also pointed out the cooperation direction for the future cooperation of Higher vocational education between China and Laos in the new era, and promoted the internationalization process of Chinese vocational education.
