At the invitation of China Education Association for International Exchange, Mr. Qin Jingjun, dean of school of International Education of SXPI, delivered a special lecture to the students who participated in the first International Development Capacity Improvement Program of our university in 2022 on July 6th.
The lecture is entitled《Learning, Practice, Innovation Trilogy: Creating a New Height of Vocational Education Opening to the Outside world》, sharing the theoretical exploration and implementation path of vocational education opening to the outside world in SXPI from three aspects of policy interpretation, practice exploration and experience thinking.
In terms of policy interpretation, the lecture sorted out the policy context of the international development of vocational education. The newly revised Law on “Vocational Education and the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of Modern Vocational Education” issued by the two offices were regarded as the legal basis and action guide for vocational colleges to carry out international exchanges and cooperation. The colleagues in the field of vocational education should take this opportunity to promote the internationalization of vocational education and create a good working atmosphere.
In terms of practice and exploration, the lecture took SXPI as an example to introduce the international exchange and cooperation experience and results of SXPI's "learning, practice and innovation" from three aspects: Double Integration Strategy-- new driving force of international innovation and development, Double Excellence Project-- new model of collectivized overseas education, and Double Innovation Plan-- exploration of new standardized and open education program.
Learning-- "double integration" enables new development ideas, build five exchange platforms, ten cooperation modes, to build a community of destiny international vocational education. Practice-- Through the implementation of ten projects, SXPI will build the best higher vocational education in central and South Africa, serve the international production capacity cooperation, innovate the cultural exchange model between China and Zambia. Innovation-- Relying on overseas cooperation platforms, closely following the needs of local industries and colleges, and focusing on school characteristic standards and resource output, SXPI integrates the pilot experience of modern apprenticeship, incorporates new international technologies, new processes and new norms, and develops teaching standards to go global.
In terms of experience and reflection, the lecture believed that vocational education should adapt to the new situation, realize mode innovation, mechanism innovation and path innovation under the epidemic situation, and adhere to the positioning of type education, regional characteristics, service education function and problem orientation under high quality development. In the future, SXPI should realize leading original results with forward-looking system design, and leverage all-round comprehensive reform with innovation practice.
