On November 24-25, Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute (SXPI) successfully held 2022 China-ASEAN TVET Workshop (Session III) online.

Organized by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and hosted by SXPI, the Indonesia-Singapore working group of the China-ASEAN TVET consortium, the workshop focused on the theme of“Advanced Manufacturing Technology and High-Level Technical Personnel Training”and attracted more than 160 participants from ASEAN government education officials, trade organizations and institutions.

The presenters of this workshop were composed of the backbone teaching staffs from mechanical manufacturing and automation major cluster of SXPI and its partner, Beijing Jingdiao Group. Centering on the training of technical talents in advanced manufacturing industry, they shared their excellent and innovative TVET practice on manufacturing technology programs in detail from the following aspects: the cooperation between schools and enterprises, the construction of industrial colleges, the establishment of teaching standards, the optimization of personnel training programs, the construction of a high-level teaching staff, and the talents cultivation of Jingdiao craftsman class.

The 2022 China-ASEAN TVET capacity-building activities aims to strengthen the influence of Chinese vocational education in ASEAN countries, build a high-level and wide-ranging cooperation platform, improve the quality of TVET education, promote the construction of China-ASEAN community of TVET education, and strengthen the people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN countries. As the Indonesia-Singapore working group of the China-ASEAN TVET consortium, SXPI will conduct more capacity-building activities on TVET education for ASEAN countries in the future to share its experience in vocational education.
