With the support and guidance of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, in order to promote student exchanges in BRICS vocational colleges, empower youth development and enhance students' digital ability, from 21 to 27 November 2022, With the theme of "Embracing the Digital Future",the 1stRising Star TVET Student Camp of BRICS-TCA was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in a combination of online and offline.
The student camp was organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), Secretariat of the BRICS Vocational Education Union, and was attended by more than 100 students from vocational colleges around the world. Students of SXPI were invited to participate in this activity online. Qin Jingjun, Dean of the School of International Education, was invited to give expert comments.
The student camp closely followed the theme of "digitalization"and highlighted the characteristics of vocational and technical education. It based on innovative and entrepreneurial plans of interest to young students from all over the world, and combined various methods such as keynote reports, video sharing, discussion and achievement display. Moreover, it built a platform for international exchanges and cooperation among vocational college students from BRICS countries that integrated classroom education, innovation and entrepreneurship, workplace experience and communication. Students from 11 colleges and universities from China, Russia, South Africa and other countries worked closely together and showed their talents.
Focusing on the convenience of digital life for the elderly, the student team of SXPI designed and displayed the mobile application interface design work of "Step over the digital divide · Stand by the elder's side" from the perspective of life scenes and skills, which was widely praised by experts and campers.
This student camp was the first student exchange event held under the framework of the BRICS Vocational Education Alliance. Its form was novel, content was rich, interactivity was strong. The student team of SXPI achieved a lot. This camp not only expanded the "Circle of Friends" of BRICS youth, facilitated the green and digital technology among BRICS countries, and promoted educational exchanges and people-to-people exchanges. It was also an important outcome of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration of the 14th BRICS Leaders' Meeting.
