To support localized talent training for Chinese-funded enterprises, the university recently launched an online "Chinese + Vocational Skills" training program under its Ethiopia Chinese Workshop, with over 50 Ethiopian participants enrolled.

Spanning 10 weeks, the online session extends the offline training held in April. Courses cover electrical automation, construction engineering, mechanical manufacturing, basic Chinese and Chinese culture to improve trainees’ language proficiency and practical technical capabilities.

As a key practice of the Chinese Workshop brand and the university’s overseas vocational education initiative, the program helps export China’s vocational education standards under the Belt and Road Initiative. The university will further deepen vocational cooperation with Ethiopia, advance school-enterprise collaboration alongside outbound Chinese industries and contribute to China-Africa exchanges and high-quality BRI development.
