To enrich the cultural and sports life of international students, SNPU hosted the 2025 International Students Badminton Tournament on November 27 and 28. Organized by the School of International Education, the event was co-hosted by the School of Chemical Engineering, Textile and Apparel, and the School of Automotive Engineering. International students from various classes and enterprise-ordered classes participated enthusiastically, making the competition a dynamic and spectacular affair.
The tournament featured two events: Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles.In the Women’s Singles event, Marisa from the CATL-ordered class delivered a steady performance with all-around skills to claim the championship. Fu Fangyan, a student from Class 2401 of Business Administration, secured the runner-up title with her tenacious playing style. Lin Huili (CATL-ordered class) and Xijia (Huayou Cobalt-ordered class) also put on excellent shows, sharing the third-place honors.
For the Men’s Singles competition, Ke Yinuo from Class 2401 of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation took home the gold medal with his superb techniques and outstanding form. Lin Wancong, a student from Class 2401 of Accounting, turned in an eye-catching performance to win the silver medal. The bronze medals were shared by Liu Changhai and Xingyu from the CATL-ordered class, as well as Hanif and Yifei from the Huayou Cobalt-ordered class, all of whom fully demonstrated their remarkable competitive prowess and team spirit.
At the award ceremony, Yang Xiuguo, Party General Branch Secretary of the School of Chemical Engineering, Textile and Apparel; Gao Yaning, Party General Branch Secretary of the School of Automotive Engineering; and Qin Jingjun, Dean of the School of International Education, presented prizes to the winners and extended their congratulations and encouragement to all participants.
The tournament received strong support from partner enterprises including Huayou Cobalt. It concluded successfully in an atmosphere of friendship, solidarity and sportsmanship. Not only did the event showcase the vibrant spirit of international students in China, but it also further promoted university-enterprise cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, injecting new vitality into the internationalization drive of our campus.
