On the afternoon of November 14th, the opening ceremony of the "Indonesia International Craftsman Class", co-founded by Shaanxi Polytechnic University (SNPU) and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), was grandly held at the Shaanxi Polytechnic University-CATL New Energy Power Battery Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Technology Center. The event marked a significant gift for the university’s 75th anniversary, embodying the spirit of "75 Years of Forging Ahead, Writing a New Chapter in Industry-Education Integration".
Liu Yongliang, President of SNPU, Wu Juan, Director of CATL’s Operation Center, Ma Xiaoyun, Deputy Party Secretary of the university, as well as responsible persons from the International Education School, School-Enterprise Cooperation Office, and School of Automotive Engineering, gathered with all teachers and students of the craftsman class to witness this important moment. The ceremony was hosted by Qin Jingjun, Dean of the International Education School.
Kicking off with a traditional cultural performance by Indonesian students, the ceremony featured warm speeches from distinguished guests. Ma Xiaoyun extended a sincere welcome and gratitude to CATL’s leaders on behalf of the university. She emphasized that launching the international craftsman class with CATL amid the 75th anniversary carries profound significance for inheriting traditions and forging ahead. She encouraged the first batch of Indonesian students to cherish the opportunity, uphold the Chinese craftsman spirit, deepen cultural exchanges to build a bridge of friendship between the two countries, and pursue innovation to lead the future of the new energy industry.
Wu Juan fully affirmed the achievements of industry-education integration and international cooperation between the two parties. She stated that CATL attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with Shaanxi Polytechnic University and is confident in the joint construction of the international craftsman class. She urged all students to grasp the learning opportunity, solidify advanced technologies, enhance comprehensive capabilities, and grow into international technical talents meeting the needs of the new energy industry, contributing to technological and cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia.
A touching video message from the students’ parents across the oceans moved the entire audience. Afterwards, a student representative delivered a speech, promising to live up to their youth and strive to become a bridge of technology and friendship connecting the two countries.
Xu Jiyang, Vice Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, introduced the college’s infrastructure and teaching resources in industry-education integration, promising to gather high-quality resources to provide all-round and high-level support for students’ growth. Subsequently, Zhang Yanting, representative of CATL, and Gao Yaning, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Automotive Engineering, jointly presented cultural and sports supplies to the students, encouraging them to focus on their studies and pursue all-round development.
The flag-handing ceremony pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Liu Yongliang solemnly awarded the class flag, a symbol of responsibility, mission and inheritance, to the student representative. As the flag waved, thunderous applause erupted, marking the official start of the new journey.
The successful launch of the Indonesia International Craftsman Class is another important practice of the university in deepening industry-education integration and actively serving the Belt and Road Initiative.
