From July 13 to 17, 2025, Vice President Mei Chuangshe of Shaanxi Polytechnic University (SNPU) led a 4-member delegation–including representatives from School of International Education and School of Automotive Engineering–to Indonesia for recruitment briefings and interviews of international student order classes. This trip, a key move to implement the "Belt and Road" Initiative and deepen industry-education integration, aimed to address the talent needs of Chinese enterprises like Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) in overseas markets, strengthen university-enterprise collaboration, and advance the construction of the "Qinling Workshop" in Indonesia.
The delegation visited local institutions including Jakarta’s Satya University, Karawang’s Tekmakor Vocational High School, and Serang’s Piksi Industrial Technology Institute. Jointly with CATL, they held order class briefings and interviews, attracting over 100 local students. Vice President Mei also signed inter-university cooperation agreements with Satya University and Piksi Institute on SNPU’s behalf, establishing cross-border platforms for joint talent cultivation and teaching resource sharing to support vocational education’s global outreach.
During the visit, the delegation called on CATL’s Indonesia Battery & Energy Storage Equipment Project Department and Huayou Cobalt’s Jakarta Liaison Office. Vice President Mei noted, “Over 75 years of running, SNPU has stuck to industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation. As Chinese enterprises ‘go global’, we will leverage vocational education’s overseas expansion to align with corporate talent needs and train qualified localized technical personnel for overseas Chinese businesses.”
Going forward, SNPU will build on its overseas brand–the "Qinling Workshop" in Indonesia–to deepen strategic ties with CATL, Huayou Cobalt and other Chinese enterprises. It will expand the breadth and depth of vocational education’s global presence, injecting "SNPU Strength" into the high-quality development of overseas Chinese enterprises.
