On June 17, Vice President Duan Jun led a delegation from relevant departments of SXPI on a visit to Zhejiang, achieving significant breakthroughs in international school-enterprise cooperation by reaching strategic agreements with leading enterprises.
During the morning visit to Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Industry Co., Ltd., Li Qian, General Manager of Huayou Group's Human Resources Management Center, emphasized the company's ambitious global expansion plans, especially in Indonesia where the workforce is projected to surge from 19,000 to 100,000 in three to five years, highlighting a pressing need for local skilled talents. Impressed by the university's long-standing international education experience, Li expressed strong interest in collaborative talent cultivation.
In response, Vice President Duan Jun proposed an innovative “virtual order-based class” mechanism, drawing on the university's successful overseas projects like the Zambia branch and the “Qinling Workshop” in Indonesia. This led to the signing of the “Huayou Cobalt Industry International Order-based Class” agreement, leveraging the university's status as a national “Double High Plan” institution to tailor training programs for Huayou's overseas ventures.
In the afternoon, the delegation explored the functional fabric production line of Sanyuan Group, a textile industry giant. Both sides agreed on jointly training R&D talents for new textile materials and expressed intent to establish a “Modern Textile Order-based Class,” further expanding industry-education integration for SXPI of Chemical Engineering and Textile & Garment.
These achievements mark a new chapter in the school-enterprise cooperation of SXPI, aiming for coordinated international and domestic development. Going forward, SXPI will collaborate closely with enterprises to nurture high-skilled international talents for global production capacity cooperation.
