From November 15th to 17th, the 2024 World Chinese Conference, with the theme of "Connectivity, Integration, Inheritance, and Innovation," was held in Beijing. Han Zheng, the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, attended the opening ceremony, read President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter, and delivered a speech. Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng presided over the opening ceremony. More than 2,000 government officials, school principals, experts, scholars, student representatives, and diplomatic envoys from over 160 countries and regions participated in the conference.
Tian Hao, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, was invited to participate in the seminar on "New Era, New Opportunities: Promoting the High-quality Development of 'Chinese + Vocational Skills' Education" held by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education on November 16th. He delivered a keynote speech titled "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leadership: Building a Talent Training Standard and Resource Sharing System for 'Chinese+Vocational Skills'." The speech focused on the core issue of talent cultivation in "Chinese+vocational skills" and shared the innovative experience and achievements of our university in building a talent training standard and resource system for "Chinese+vocational skills" through "creative transformation" and "innovative development," integrating international advanced experience. It won high praise from the participants.
In recent years,Shaanxi Polytechnic Institutehas attached great importance to the cultivation of talents with "Chinese+vocational skills." It has successfully approved multiple "Chinese+vocational skills" projects, such as the Chinese Workshop in Ethiopia and the Online Group of the Chinese Bridge, by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education. Relying on "Vocational Education Going Global" projects like the China-Zambia Vocational College and the Qinling Workshop, schools and enterprises have jointly trained nearly 3,000 technical and skilled talents overseas, strongly supporting the overseas development of enterprises and effectively serving international production capacity cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative.
