SXPI dispatched three students to participate in International Textile Summer 2016 (ITS2016) from July 9 to July 30 in Hof University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Hof University of Applied Sciences is one of SXPI partners in Germany. At present, the students have successfully finished the study and exchange program, returned to China safely.

Total 33 students from India, Thailand,Netherlands, Bulgaria, China and some Africa countries were invited to ITS 2016 which was for bachelor or master degree textile specialty students from the world. SXPI students are the only students who were invited from China and also the program first time had Chinese students participated in since it was began.With English as the teaching language, ITS2016 lasted three weeks by offering students excellent lectures, visiting to companies and cities, social activities. Professors mainly lectured students on Technical Textiles,Innovative Textile Finishing, Sustainable Textile Business. It also organized students for some training and internship in the university lab or partner factories. Students visited companies like BWF, Hof-Gattendorf, Geretsried,Pulcra Chemical, Mohsdorf, Zschimmer & Schwarz and Munich, the state capital of Bavaria. Students enjoyed the time of visiting natural scenery and historical relics in local area. ITS2016 impressed students not only in the advanced knowledge of textile technology, textile business management, also the experience of visiting world well known companies. ITS2016 broadened students’vision and made a platform for students from different countries to communicate and made friendship.
