Three SXPI young teachers, Luo Jinchao, Yuan Yuan and Dong Jiahui, respectively from Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Chemical and Textile and Clothing, are studying in Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany, as visiting scholars from October to January, 2016. They fully exposes themselves to the German university environment and learn from German professors by participating in varieties of lectures, workshops and visiting trips. The unique German education concept deeply impresses the teachers, they well experience the German culture and education, well understand the education model, concept and teaching procedure in German university.

The visiting scholar program is a cooperation between Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute and the German BSK Organization, which is for promoting teachers exchange between German universities and Chinese universities and colleges. Totally, SXPI has 13 teachers who have participated in the program and visited German universities since 2012.

Chemnitz University of Technology is located in the town ofChemnitzin Germany. With over 10000 students, it is the third largest university inSaxonyand around 750 international students from 100 universities all over the world are enrolled each year. It was founded in 1836 as Royal Mercantile College and became a technical university in 1986.
