Vice President Liu Yongliang Trained in Australia

Mr. Liu Yongliang, vice president of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, visited Australia for a 14 days training on Australian education and its internationalization since November 13 to 27, 2016. Mr. Liu went there with a 25 members delegation organized by the Ministry of Education, China. Mr. Zong Wa, deputy secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange, was the head of the delegation.

During the time in Australia, the training delegation visited Sydney and Melbourne, attended kinds of lectures given by officials from Australian government, education agencies and colleges and universities, which focued on the Australian education system, TAFE education and its internationalization. The delegation visited Australian Government of Department of Education and Training, ACPET, Victoria Department of Education and Training, Standards Association of Australia, the University of New South Wales, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Melbourne Polytechnic, University of Victoria. Mr. Liu talked and discussed with persons or managers from some Australian TAFE about the possibility of cooperation between SXPI and the Australian counterpart.

The unique TAFE system deeply impressed Mr. Liu and helped him to well understand how Australia promote its vocational education and its internationalization. Mr. Liu also made cooperation intention for SXPI with some TAFE colleges, which will be very helpful for SXPI to develop cooperation with the Australia and benefit its students and teachers.
