Summer is the time for traveling and enjoying life in different places. For SXPI students, this summer holiday is a golden occasion for visiting universities and colleges in the world, to study, experience and see different culture, language, people and cities, it is absolutely exciting and fun for them. By attending SXPI international programs, totally 35 students has been enjoying their summer in Germany, the USA, Canada, UK, South Korean and Russia.

Du Zhuanjing, a sophomore studying textile technology, just had three weeks studying on International Textile Summer at Hof University of Applied Sciences, Germany. It was really fabulous for her and the other two SXPI students as they studied not only textile knowledge, but the German culture and history, especially the development of Textile technology in Germany and the Europe. After the class, they visited local relics, factories and business. They communicate a lot with students from India, Thailand and other countries, and made friends during the time in Germany. “It is awesome to have the experience in a foreign country while you are studying in Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, it is great memory for me” said Du Zhuangjing.

Liu Bo, a tall boy studied CNC technology in SXPI, is now attending a three weeks English program in Newcastle College, the UK. This is the second time for him to participate in SXPI oversea program. The first time is last summer holiday, he went to Russia with SXPI student delegation for a summer camp. For Liu Bo, the three weeks study in the UK is fruitful and lasting memory. The class is small, about 10 students from different countries. It is very interesting as he can talk to people from Middle East, Russia and other countries which make him know and understand different cultures. The accommodation is arranged with home stay, he can well experience the life of UK people. The most exciting is at weekend, the Newcastle College arranges the class to visit York and other cities. They enjoy a lot during the weekend visit.

Zhang Luning, freshman, studying electrical engineering, went to attend a Student Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Leadership Program (SIELP) at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona), the USA from July 21 to August 9, 2018. In Cal Poly Pomona, she has made lots of friends from different universities in China. The topic of the program is student Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Circling the top, the American professors gave lectures, organized students in group discussion and presentation at the end of the program. It was fun to have some visits to local companies and industry during the session of the program.

Offering students enough international exchange program is SXPI very important mission recent years. According to its students international exchange plan in 2018, SXPI will send 90 students to participate in different oversea programs in 10 countries and region.
