On December 6, 2019, Ruthanne Orihuela , Provost and Vice President of Community University of Denver, and two principals of Confucius Institute, visited our school. Tian Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and staffs of the International Education Institute had a meeting with them.

First of all , Tian Hao appreciated Community College of Denver’s endeavor for inviting and warmly welcome our visiting staffs before. After briefing the basic situation of our college, the visit of Sun Chunlan, Vice Premier of the State Council, to our school, Tian Hao delivered that our college had have been listed on the “the A-level of Double-High Vocational Colleges”. Tian Hao also recognized that, on the area of TVET, our two countries can learn from each other. He especially stressed on that the concepts “Lifelong Education” and “CBE Education” advocated by community colleges in the United States were worth learning. Then, Tian Hao mentioned that there were many similarities between Community College of Denver and our college in terms of professional settings and etc., which allowed the cooperation with each other. He hoped that we can further enhanced mutual understanding and advanced some cooperative projects.

Ruthanne Orihuela showed her gratitude for the former visit of our staffs to their college. After introducing the basic information of Community College of Denver and its affiliated Confucius Institute, she said that she looked forward to knowing our institute through this visit and cooperating with us on the student and teacher exchange programs and etc.

After the meeting, Ruthanne Orihuela and the fellows visited the training bases of smart microgrid, welding, machining, etc., and the Hanfu student club .
