On April 29, more than 300 young representatives from all fronts of Xianyang City gathered at Daqin theater to jointly participate in the commendation meeting to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the May 4th movement. Dr.Qi Kailiang,SXPI teacher, was awarded the “Top Ten Outstanding Youth” of  Xianyang city.

Qi Kailiang, SXPI associate professor with a doctoral degree, teaches in the school of Electrical Engineering. He has successively achieved 1 invention patent, 7 utility model patents, 2 SCI papers, 2 EI papers and 8 core papers, won the Outstanding Achievement Award of National TVET Institution Technology R & D and Application Achievement Exhibition, and gained the third prize of Science and Technology Award of the Department of Education of Shaanxi Province. So far, he has edited 2 textbooks,which were selected into the 13th Five-Year vocational education national planning textbooks of the Ministry of Education. Besides, he has drafted 1 local standard of Shaanxi Province, and has participated in the construction of the national new energy teaching resource database. He has tutored students to win lots of prizes in different competitions, including the Bronze Award in the National Mechanical Industry Design Innovation Competition, the first and third prize in the Design and Implementation of Photovoltaic Electronic Engineering Competition, the second and third prizes in the Mechanical Innovation Design Competition, etc.

He has been awarded the Advanced Individual of Application and Promotion of National New Energy Teaching Resource Database, Excellent Referee of National Polymer Material Skills Competition, Innovation Leading Talents and Top Ten Popular Science Stars of Xianyang City, etc. He has held more than 20 popular science lectures on new energy technologyand has participated in 3 key scientific and technological projects. With the support of SXPI, he has built the first Photovoltaic Intelligent Greenhouse Technology Demonstration Station together with Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences and provincial excellent science and technology commissioners and has built a 23KW photovoltaic power generation project. Especially, a 2000-square meter intelligent greenhouse was established by him to develop fungus planting industry,which realized a win-win situation of photovoltaic power generation and crop production.
