Recently, the national finals of the 2022 "Teaching Star" competition (higher vocational group) jointly sponsored by the University Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of colleges and the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) came to an end. In the fierce competition with other excellent participating teachers from universities across China, the teaching team of SXPI English teachers,Li Ke, Li Dongrui, Zhang Yixuan and Li Yaqi, won the first prize in the national semi-final and the second prize in the national finals.This competition was held in the form of cloud live broadcasting, and nearly 30,000 English teachers from national TVET institutions watched the competition.

SXPI attaches great importance to this competition. Since the beginning of the competition in April, it has actively set up participating teams and carried out many teaching discussions. The team teachers worked together,and actively prepared for the competition,realizing a major breakthrough in the competition.The results of this competition fully demonstrate the teaching skills and abilities of SXPI teachers, and have a positive impact on exploring the reform of foreign language teaching in higher vocational colleges.

The "Teaching Star" competition began in 2013. With the purpose of leading teaching development, innovating teaching concepts and exchanging teaching methods, it has been widely recognized in the field of foreign language education in Colleges and universities across China. So far, it has been listed in the data source of the "Research on the Evaluation and Management System of College competitions" and the "Analysis Report on the Teaching Competition of Teachers in National Colleges and Universities".
