On September 28, the calligraphy and painting organizing committee of 2022 "Chinese Bridge" Chinese proficiency competition for foreigners across the globe announced the winning works of "Mid-Autumn Festival" theme. Tang Mei, an Indonesian student from the class of 2022 of SXPI, won the "Social Media Popularity Award" for her painting "Blooming Flowers & Full Moon".

Sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation（CLEC）, organized by Chinese Union and China Daily, and co-organized by the Chinese Bridge Club, the calligraphy and painting challenge of the 2022 "Chinese Bridge" for foreigners was timed to coincide with the traditional Chinese festival "Mid-Autumn Festival". As soon as the event was launched, foreign friends around the world who loved the Chinese language and culture responded positively. A large number of Chinese and foreign netizens participated in the vote.

The theme of "Mid-Autumn Festival" received 496 works of painting and calligraphy from 68 countries. After offline evaluation by the jury and online voting by the public, 30 award-winning works were selected by the painting group, including 5 social media popularity awards.

In recent years, the international students of SXPI participated actively in the Chinese c proficiency conference for foreigners across the globe, which held by CLEC. Such activities were of positive significance to the promotion of traditional Chinese culture, aesthetic spirit and the art of painting and calligraphy. This event provided opportunities for international students to practice and experience the beauty of Chinese art, and also promoted exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations of different countries.
