From October 10 to 13, the final of Data Analysis and Visualization Competition of 2022 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition was held in Qiannan Polytechnic for Nationalities.

The team composed of Yang Jiaqi from Big Data Class 2101, Shen Jiacheng from Computing Application Technology Class 2101 and Li Jiayuan from Artificial Intelligence Class 2101 under the guidance of Teacher Geng Qian and Teacher Yuan Hui won the first prize and qualified for the international competition. The team consisting of Wang Chuanghuan from Big Data Class 2103, Huo Wenqiang from Accounting class 2102 and Zhang Yunxuan from Network 2002 won the second prize.

A total of 93 universities, 142 teams, 426 contestants and 10 foreign contestants from 7 countries such as Guinea, Bangladesh and 5 teams took part in the competition. It was divided into data processing and acquisition, data analysis and operation, data display and other modules. In this competition, the solid theoretical foundation and skilled technical skills of SXPI’s students were highly praised by the experts of the judging committee, which fully reflected the quality of talent training and the level of education and teaching of SXPI.

In order to promote skills development and technology exchange among BRICS countries, accelerate the training of skilled personnel and improve the level of skills, the competition set up an international talent cooperation platform for technology exchange, standard coordination and skill certification. The competition was not only an international exchange and discussion on vocational skills development and technological innovation, but also an in-depth practice of the Silk Road spirit of peace, cooperation, openness and inclusiveness.
