In order to further deepen our understanding of UNESCO and better promote the work of the UNEVOC Center at SXPI, Dr. Robert Parua, from the UNESCO Beijing Office, conducted training for all the staff in the School of International Education at SXPI on March 6.

At first, Dr. Parua briefly introduced the basic situation of UNESCO, including UNESCO’s structure, functions at the global, regional, and national levels, and global education theme; the sustainable development of education; and the 2030 agenda for sustainable development goals. Then, Dr. Parua expounded the future of TVET and UNESCO’s strategy for TVET 2022–2029 actions and relevant SDG targets. Finally, Dr. Parua emphasized the potential areas of cooperation for the UNESCO Beijing Office and Shaanxi UNEVOC Center, hoping to cooperate with SXPI to promote the 2030 sustainable development agenda.

Through this training, we have gained a deeper understanding of UNESCO and TVET and further clarified the responsibility and mission of our school as the UNEVOC Center. In the future, our school will give full play to the function of the UNEVOC Center, strengthen cooperation with the UNESCO Beijing Office, and contribute the vocational education experience of our school and China to the development of vocational education in the world.
