At the invitation of Premier Li Qiang of the State Council, New Zealand Prime Minister,Chris Hipkinspaidan paid a visit to China from June 25th to 30th, 2023. On June 29th,SXPI president, Mr.Liu Yongliang was invited to attend the celebration dinner of Prime Minister Hipkins' visit to China in Shanghai.
During the event,Mr.Liu Yongliang briefly introduced SXPI and its vocational education cooperation project with Prime Minister,Hipkins, which washighlyrecognized.Besides, President Liu Yongliang also held talks with New Zealand education professionals such as President Willem of Maori University to discuss and exchange ideas on teacher training, academic research cooperation, and other projects after the epidemic, and reached a consensus on cooperation.
Recent years,SXPI has conducted fruitful cooperation with New Zealand in the field of vocational education. In 2019, the then New Zealand Ambassador, Clare Fearnley, visited SXPI.And it is now also a teacher training base for China-New Zealand Vocational Education Demonstration Project, which has carried out a series of cooperation projects with the University of Maori and the Waikato Institute of Technology in New Zealand to enhance teacher abilities, collaborate in academic research, and develop courses.So far, it has made certain achievements in promoting cooperation between China and New Zealand in the field of vocational education.
