On May 15, the School of International Education organized international students from CATL and Huayou Cobalt classes to experience Beiying Battle Drum, a Xianyang intangible cultural heritage rooted in ancient military rituals.
Students learned its history from inheritor Zhuo Yongbin and practiced drumming under guidance. An Indonesian student compared it to Gamelan, noting shared passion across cultures.
As part of cultural education, the activity helped international students understand Chinese spirit. Students shared videos online, spreading the culture globally.
The university will continue such heritage activities to help foreign youth feel the heartbeat of China.
