The 2024 World Vocational Colleges Skills Competition, jointly hosted by multiple Chinese ministries, featured 42 tracks across diverse industries. Its international group, held for the first time, saw 1,279 contestants from 73 countries/regions on six continents in 413 teams compete in 36 tracks.
Two transnational teams from Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, coached by teachers from the School of Finance and Tourism and the School of International Education, won bronze medals in the Finance and Commerce Track 1 and the Public Administration and Service Track.
After getting the competition notice, the Academic Affairs Office and the School of International Education, along with relevant secondary colleges, quickly selected core team members. The School of International Education cooperated with overseas universities to form these two transnational teams. Through communication and coordination, the teams designed plans and won awards, which recognized their efforts, innovation, and teamwork.
This competition advanced the integration of vocational education and industry, supplying high-quality talents. It also spurred the vocational education internationalization of SXPI, boosting our school's international profile and creating a wider platform for international exchanges.
