On May 10th, Robert Parua, an education program officer from UNESCO's East Asia Multisectoral Regional Office, visited Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute. He met with Deputy Party Committee Secretary Tian Hao and Dean of International Education School Qin Jingjun.
Parua, responsible for coordinating education in five East Asian countries, introduced UNESCO's work and invited SXPI's teachers and students to participate in relevant activities. After the meeting, he gave a detailed interpretation on UNESCO's responsibilities, the 2030 Agenda, and vocational education strategies, answering students' questions.
During his stay, Parua visited educational facilities at two campuses, impressed by SXPI's educational concepts and training facilities. His visit inspired new ideas for SXPI's teachers and students in global governance and cross-cultural exchanges. As a member of the UNESCO UNEVOC Center, SXPI is expected to contribute more in global vocational education governance and policy dialogues.
