SXPI Students Short-time Studied in Red River College, Canada

At the Invitation of Red River College of Applied Arts, Science and Technology(RRC), SXPI students Zhang Xue, Wang Jianing and Yang Yingqiu visited RRC for a two weeks study program from July 24 to August 9. On August 10, the students returned to China safely after finishing the rich and colorful international students exchange program.

Located in Winnipeg, capital of Manitoba, Canada, Red River College has been cooperating with SXPI on students and teachers exchange, academic exchange since RRC delegation visited SXPI while both institutes reached cooperation willingness this April . The two weeks program is mainly to experience English study in RRC. RRC unique English teaching arrangement is easy and interesting for Chinese students to accept which made SXPI students fully enjoyed and has been improved their English level largely. The social activities for the program included visiting RRC campus, Manitoba Museum, Manitoba Legislative, other local tourism spots and relics. The students also attended or watched some local sports and culture activities which made them well understand Canada culture, history and customs. During the time in RRC, SXPI students fully communicated with RRC students and teachers, and students from Shenyang Institute of Engineering, China, who also were invited for the program, by studying English and taking activities together which leaded friendship established.

Established in 1938 and with over 32000 students on campus, Red River College, well financed by Manitoba province, is now the biggest public applied education supplier in Manitoba. It is now offering over 110 programs for full- time students.
