6928 freshmen from nine provinces of China arrived in SXPI from August 31 to September 1 to begin their college life. Here, enjoying the full sunshine and fresh air in the early autumn, they cheerfully meet new classmates, roommates and teachers on the beautiful campus.

The opening ceremony for freshmen’s academic and military training was held on September 2. Zhang Xiaoyun, SXPI president, addressed on the ceremony and forwarded her welcome and congratulations to the freshmen. She showed her respect and thanks to the military officers who are responsible for the freshmen 13 days military training before formal academic study. After introduction of SXPI history, recent years development and the excellent facilities and platforms offered to students, she hopes the freshmen inherit the school’s excellent legacy and work hard for their beautiful futures and SXPI new glory.

President Zhang forwarded her wishes to the freshmen. First, the freshmen should be confidence, cultivate their independent thinking ability and be dare to question. Second, the freshmen should well understand themselves, well plan their future and explore their potentials. Third, the freshmen should fully improve their capability and have an overall development of themselves.
