China–Russia Silk Road Youth Designer Studio Unveiled in SXPI

The cooperation has been enhanced between Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute(SXPI)and Vladivostok State University of Economic and Service, Russia (VSUES) with the two institutions unveiled the China–Russia Silk Road Youth Designer Studio on March 28 in China. The studio is being co-established by SXPI and VSUES, mainly focus on exposing students who study fashion design in an international environment. The main activity for the studio is to promote students exchange, fashion contest of young Designers in Pacific area, science and research between SXPI and VSUES. It is expected the studio will become a hub of the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship to students as they participate in the cooperation program between VSUES and SXPI.

“China–Russia Silk Road Youth Designer Studio is a fruitful and pragmatic cooperation result between SXPI and VSUES since the two universities established cooperation late 2014. The studio has made a platform for the two institutions to carry out more and deep cooperation. We hope it a new start for SXPI and VSUES to cooperate for better and beautiful future.” Said Ms.Zhang Xiaoyun

In her speech for the studio unveiling ceremony, Ms.Inna KLOCHKO, director of Institute of Service, Fashion and Design, VSUES, highly appraised SXPI for its good teaching facilities and quality education. She proposed SXPI and VSUES with the studio as a cooperation platform, to enhance the stock cooperation programmes, and, to start fashion design students exchange, especially, Russian students study in SXPI. Also, she wished to recommend SXPI to join the Association of University of Design at the Pacific Region Countries.

Since 2015, SXPI has dispatched 3 teams for the annual Pacific Style Week for youth fashion designer competition in Vladivostok, two teachers addressed on the international conferences during the Pacific Style Week. Also, 48 SXPI students and teachers participated in VSUES summer programmes.
