On September 14, the School of International Education and Madison Area Technical College held a student online language and cultural exchange program seminar via video conference. It aimed to promote the exchange and cooperation between SXPI and American community colleges, and explore the mode of people-to-people exchanges in vocational education between China and the United States under COVID-19. Qin Jingjun, Dean of the School of International Education, and all staff members, Zheng Linjing, Director of Business English Teaching and Research Office of the School of Finance and Tourism, and Sun Xiaoyi, Director of Chinese Education of Madison District Technical College, participated in the exchange seminar.

At the seminar, based on the preliminary work, the two sides fully communicated with each other on business English and Chinese courses, students' language and cultural exchange mode, online activities, and reached a cooperation consensus. Both sides believed that overcoming the challenges of COVID-19 and time difference and providing online learning opportunities for Chinese and American students was of great significance to improve students' language skills and build international friendship. The two sides took this program as an opportunity to explore a long-term and stable online language and cultural exchange mechanism for students.
