On March 23, the 2023 St. Petersburg-China-Russia International Education Forum was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The forum focused on four themes: "International Empowerment Cooperation between Chinese and Russian Higher Education Institutions", "Cooperation between Chinese and Russian Art Schools", "Normalized Academic Exchange and Cooperation between China and Russia", and "Innovation in the Construction of Offshore Education between China and Russia". Through roundtable dialogues and exchange and discussion of participants, the methods and paths for cultivating students' comprehensive ability and enhancing students' international competitiveness under the current educational development and reform background were discussed, and a new way of cooperation in bilateral education between China and Russia was found.

The forum invited 14 Russian universities and 9 Chinese universities to give keynote speeches. Qin Jingjun, Dean of the School of International Education, as a representative of Chinese vocational colleges, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Exploring New Paths of Sino-Russian Vocational Education Cooperation and Promoting China-Russia People-to-People Exchanges in the New Era". The speech introduced the practice and results of China-Russia vocational education cooperation in exploring China-Russia vocational education cooperation in the past 10 years, focusing on international skills competitions, short-term student exchanges, student exchanges, vocational teacher training, and workshops for young fashion designers on the China-Russia Silk Road. Qin Jingjun also looked forward to the new plans and new models of China-Russia vocational and education cooperation after the epidemic, and expressed the hope that SXPIand Russian vocational colleges will carry out cooperation projects such as curriculum development, teacher capacity building, student exchange and exchange, people-to-people exchange, and skills competition.
